Diamond Scheduler 6 is a Windows-based scheduling program that allows you to create season schedules for all types of sports leagues. It runs on Windows Vista, XP, 2000, 98, and 95. Version 6 supports many export formats, including Google Calendar, iCal and Microsoft Outlook.
So why are we so concerned about ease-of-use?
As you can tell by the name, the program started as a baseball and softball tool, but has evolved into a program that is used internationally by Soccer, football, basketball, darts, hockey, curling and other leagues. While it is called "powerful" by reviewers, we pride ourselves on ease-of-use.
If your league is like most just when you think you've got a final schedule for the year, a team is added or dropped, or available timeslots change. Our own experience scheduling baseball and softball taught us how frustrating it is to create a new schedule in a timely manner under such conditions; so much so that we grew tired of trying to do this manually and created our own computer program. Diamond Scheduler allows you to make those last-minute adjustments, then to click the "Schedule Now" button. Seconds later, you've got your new calendar.
The program allows you to define divisions, teams, and venues, and then to automatically create a schedule for up to 30 teams per division (or maybe a few more). Pairings can employ our optimized Algorithm, random pairings, "available timeslots" method or manual method. The program also includes algorithms for single- and double-elimination Tournament play for 5-16 teams.
